well i be guessing 5.7 liter is a 350 engine? i could be wrong... but if it is a chevy 350 depending if it is fuel injected or carbureted... if its carburetor id say the choke isnt working properly. cold engines normaly idle lil higher and the choke closes more. then opens up while its warm. if it dont it will miss out and stall alot and do all that. but if its not carburetor then there is tps sensor or cts or just try cleaning the fuel injection system...
