Can a birthday gift be taken back?

I was given a car as a birthday gift. In the card was written, "I am giving you my 2000 SUV Yukon because you deserve it. When I get the pink slip next year I will sign it over to you". This person got mad at me and took the car back. Since I gave her parents my car I now have no transportation. Can I sue her and make her return the gift back to me?
