well i be guessing 5.7 liter is a 350 engine? i could be wrong... but if it is a chevy 350 depending if it is fuel injected or carbureted... if its carburetor id say the choke isnt working properly. cold engines normaly idle lil higher and the choke closes more. then opens up while its warm. if it dont it will miss out and stall alot and do all that. but if its not carburetor then there is tps sensor or cts or just try cleaning the fuel injection system...

I love my mom and would do anything for her. I honor my mother. Her dad,my grandfather, I really don't care for because he is selfish, lazy and all he do is talk negative about other people. Ear Piercing Allergy- What do I do?

I am soon going to get my ears pierced. For the third time. The first time, I got my ears pierced at Claires with 14k gold posts stamped 14k on the actual post (yes I can read that small). After a few days, the holes started leaking this nasty yellow pus, and my mom put alcohol on them and nothing helped so we took the earrings out amd the holes closed over. I have been cleaning my ears twice a day during that time, and I did not touch my ears. A few years later, I got them pierced again, with gold plated studs. Same story. I really really want my ears pierced. My grandmother sent me 4 pairs of 14-18k gold earrings, and I want to wear them. I'll be fine once my holes heal. I don't know what earrings to try when getting my ears pierced though! I don't want to re-pierce again. My mom suggested that she pierce my ears herself with a sterilized needle and thread floss through like people did in her native Ukraine, but I don't know! Any suggestions?

Problems starting my 05 Denali?

My 05 yukon denali still won't start after the battery, starter, relays, and ignition switch have been replaced. It only starts once in a while but when it doesn't it makes zero noise. My lights just come on. The security system has been checked, all the battery cables have been checked, and so has the alternator. Dealership says maybe flash the bcm? Any ideas?

95 GMC Suburban rear window regulator?

I have a 95 GMC Suburban 1500 and I need a manual window regulator for the driver's side rear door. Cannot find one to save my life. Went to all the major parts stores and the one they want to order from Dorman is wrong (its for the front window) and when I called Dorman myself they do not make the regulator I need. Went to the dealership and they have a part number but no picture. Don't want to waste the money if I can't see what I'm buying. Only thing I have found is from lmctruck.com and lists part number 39-6400 as the closest thing I can get but its for the Tahoe/Yukon for $169.95. I've heard that the parts for these trucks are pretty interchangeable but want to be sure. No junk yards I have talked to have the part and have referred me to the surrounding 2 states and they don't have it either. Can't believe that this is such a hard to find part. Anyone have any ideas before I end up just drilling a hole through the support and screwing the darned thing shut?

I am having testicular pain. Is there any significant danger, and what should I do about it?

I am a 16 year old male, and I am having pain localized to the bottom of my left testicle. For a few months about a year and a half ago, I was having similar pain. While it was less severe, it was more frequent. After a while, it simply went away and i thought it was gone until about a week ago when the pain returned stronger than ever. Every other day or so, for the last week, i have had episodes of testicular pain (about a 6 on a scale of 1-10) that last about a minute, then go away. If i touch the bottom of my left testicle during an episode, the pain is significantly increased, but it does not hurt to the touch at any other time. I'm not sure if this is relevant or if this happens to everyone, but my testicles sometimes feel very sore after masturbating. I have done a bit of research, but nothing seems to quite fit my symptoms. I did see one website in which it was suggested that excessive masturbation could be the cause, but I masturbate once a day with rare exception, which would not be considered "excessive." Another website suggested a bacterial infection, but I have been on antibiotics multiple times over the last year for sinus infections, and I do not have a Fever or any other symptoms of infection, so that is pretty much ruled out. Next day poured about a gallon of spring water in radiator and looked for a leak under vehicle and no drips (vehicle is running) and temp gauge rised to about 3/4 way to the red while running but no warning light came on. Why has my fuel economy dropped on my 04 Yukon SLT?

Prior to my completed 100K tune up 2 weeks ago, the economy indicator was telling me I was averaging 15.4mpg mostly in town driving .Right after the tuneup I took a road trip and it jumped to 17mpg. I've been with my boyfriend for a year and he has a 6 yr old child. He will go and pick up his kid from school or bio moms and come to our house IF I'm there.. when he gets there he plops down on the couch and leaves me to play with his child. now if I'm not going to be home he magically will bring child to his mothers (child's grandmother). There have been times where I've said to him "I am feeling a little taken advantage of here" and he tells me "you need to bond with my child if you want this family to work". I don't mind "bonding" with his child if he would include HIMSELF!! I am like a live-in babysitter and when I'm not available he dumps his responsibility off at his mothers.. Am I selfish for feeling this way?!! it's been a year of this and I am starting to realize when child is around I have ZERO life and spend every minute of my time "entertaining" his kid.

1999 GMC Yukon Torque converter bad or transmission bad?

I have a 1999 GMC Yukon 5.7L V8, just recently, after coming to a stop at a red light, I began to accelerate and a sudden loud whine came from the transmission, it still drove and I was able to pull off to the side of the road, but after placing it in park, it kept rolling, so I put the E-brake on so it wouldnt roll any further. After sitting for a min, I put the truck in drive and the loud whine came back, and the speedometer jumped to about 15mph, but the vehicle wasnt rolling, and anytime I shifted through the gears, the loud whine continued. Prior to this, the truck ran smooth, the transmission shifted perfectly, there was no high rpms at all, and there didnt seem to be any signs that either the torque converter or transmission was going bad. It has 198,000 miles on it, and its maintained very well with the engine in great shape. Anyone have any ideas as to what this problem may be? Or should I go ahead and plan on a Torque Converter or a new transmission?

Google kits for this. You may be better off with just a body lift kit. In the past I had two chevy blazers, and now have a 95 two door tahoe. All were fitted with body lift kits. These trucks were just as good if not better in the mud as trucks with expensive lift kits. The reason why is when playing in the mud, one of the worst things to do is when the bottom of the truck body comes into contact with the wet mud. Why? Its just like if you take two pieces of glass and lay one on top of the other. if they are dry you can pull them apart, but just of few drops of water between them and it is almost impossible to pull them apart. Same thing with the truck body.

I know that the Spanish government offers a reduced time for someone to obtain citizenship if they are of Spanish Sephardic ancestry, however I was wondering if the Portuguese government offers anything similar? The main problem I think is that my great-grandmother and grandmother have deceased; my father and his siblings however are still alive. I can speak some Portuguese but nowhere near 100% fluency, I can however speak fluent Spanish, as my family is all from Nicaragua (where my the Portuguese Jewish grandmother emigrated to as well.) take the car your most comfortable with. check the speed limits around the dmv area just to be sure. my experience it was easy, i forgot to turn blinkers on at the first turn, was nervous. my instructor even told me what the speed limits were. there is no reason to be nervous, the written and driven portion are so easy its actually scary to know who could be on the road.

We bought a 12 pound turkey and want to do it on the charcoal grill tomorrow. How long would you recommend we grill the turkey? What would you recommend for basting it? I'm not pregnant yet, but one of my biggest fears about it is whether or not it would be wrong to exclude my in-laws from my baby shower (and possible most the baby's early childhood). hello, i have a 2001 gmc yukon sle 4x4 with the 5.3l vortec and the 4l60-e transmission, recently i purchased a engine from a 2007 gmc yukon with the 5.3l vortec,trans,and the complete wire harness and ecm, i want to do a swap to put the 07 engine will this bolt right on? what do i need to adjust or change? and another question is the throttle body on the 2001 is controlled by a cable that is hooked up to your accelorator pedal and the 2007 is controlled electronically, can i just bolt the throttle body off the 01 yukon or do i need to buy a full accelerator assembly off the 2007 yukon? please help me, thanks
